No vabbè un attimo, cardinology è uscito poco piu di un mese fà.Calma.

Ryan Adams di nuovo in studio
Chissà cosa farebbe Ryan Adams se non potesse pubblicare un disco ogni 6 mesi. Che sofferenza per lui. E chissà come sarebbe stata la sua carriera se avesse fatto uscire un terzo degli album pubblicati concentrandovi le cose migliori.

Ma ormai bisogna rassegnarsi, e prendere Ryan per come è. E la sua natura prolifica lo ha fatto già rientrare in sala di registrazione, a un mese dall'uscita dell'ultimo disco coi Cardinals, 'Cardinology'.

Insieme all'ingegnere del suono Noah Goldstein, Ryan sta lavorando a un nuovo LP che ha come titolo 'Dear Impossible'. I demo finora prodotti riguardano canzoni che hanno questi titoli: 'Firefly', 'So Quiet, It's Loud', 'Goodbye Sunshine', 'Universe Size Arms', 'Please, Hold On', 'Souls Full of Holes', 'OK, I Surrender', 'Wild & Hopeless', 'Kaleidoscope Eyes', 'Your Name Here', 'Mirror-Gold', 'The Lights' e 'Lost in Space'.

A questi demo verrà aggiunto il contributo dei Cardinals, ma più in là: "Le canzoni hanno bisogno della loro stagione", dice Ryan sul suo blog, "Per queste quella giusta è la primavera."

Adams descrive il nuovo materiale come molto simile al suo 'Love Is Hell' (2004), ma anche a 'Sister' dei Sonic Youth e 'Hatful of Hollow' degli Smiths: "Hanno uno stile molto pop. Certo, rapportati a questi due dischi sono proprio piccole cose..."

From May 11th through the 16th, Brad, Neal, Chris and I recorded a record with native kiwi Gin Wigmore at the legendary Capitol tower studio B in LA (Rod Stewart was in A) … a studio I've always wanted to work in. We had a blast and Gin is very sweet and so talented. She has this naturally unique voice that’s really cool and sure makes an impression. Zac Rae, who Brad had met when Zac was touring with Alanis Morrisette and Ryan was opening those shows, played keyboards.
